A shared meal, a conversation between friends, laughter around a fire, an afternoon spent exploring somewhere new — these are the moments that shape our experience of a destination long after we’ve left.
This collection brings together photographs of people, connection and atmosphere captured throughout Scotland, the UK and beyond. From celebrations and gatherings to outdoor adventures, travel experiences and everyday interactions, these images focus on the moments that bring a place to life.
My approach is observational and documentary in nature. Rather than directing or staging, I look for genuine interactions, natural expressions and the small details that often go unnoticed. These are the moments that feel most honest and memorable.
Photographed on both digital and 35mm film, this work reflects my interest in storytelling, human connection and the experiences that exist between the planned and the unexpected.
Because while spaces create a setting, it is people who give them meaning.
