A Magical Destination Wedding At Auchen Castle: Tessa & Alex’s Two-Day Celebration Of Love And Laughter
There’s something magical about weddings that take place in castles. The grandeur and beauty of the surroundings add a sense of romance and enchantment to the special day. This was certainly the case for Tessa and Alex’s destination wedding at Auchen Castle – a two-day destination celebration of their love.
The celebration was filled with laughter, love, and many unforgettable moments that brought tears to everyone’s eyes.

SCOTLAND DESTINATION WEDDING AT AUCHEN CASTLE
The couple arrived at Auchen Castle Hotel – one of the most beautiful places to get married in Scotland – with their nearest and dearest to spend a few nights exclusively in the castle before their big day. The rehearsal dinner was held on the first night and was themed as Casino Night.
The castle was transformed with casino-inspired decor, with the guests playing poker and blackjack, taking selfies with the backdrop made of playing cards, dancing to music, and enjoying a delicious meal.
The night ended with a surprise video from Tessa and Alex’s family and friends who couldn’t make it to the wedding. The heartfelt wishes left everyone laughing and crying at the same time.
The wedding day was warm and sunny, and the ceremony took place outdoors in the picturesque surroundings of Auchen Castle. However, before the ceremony, all the guests gathered in the ceremony room to witness a unique and memorable moment – the owl delivering the rings to the groom.
The reception was also held outdoors, and Tessa and Alex moved inside with their guests for speeches and the meal. The standout moment of the night was when the bride and her father surprised everyone with a funny dance routine for their first dance.
Afterwards, all the guests joined in with traditional Scottish dancing, known as a ceilidh. The evening ended with a sparkler exit and a spectacular fireworks display.
The two-day celebration was filled with meaningful and smart details that spoke to the couple’s unique personalities. From the fun-filled rehearsal dinner to the unique wedding ceremony, everything was thoughtfully planned to ensure that every guest was having an unforgettable time.

Auchen Castle Wedding Rehearsal Dinner
One of the most important milestones in any couple’s life is their wedding day. It’s a day full of love, laughter, and celebration with the people closest to them. The day itself requires a lot of preparation, not just for the bride and groom but for everyone involved.
So, What Is A Rehearsal Dinner?
Simply put, a rehearsal dinner is a gathering of family and friends the night before the wedding to rehearse and go over the details of the big day.
In this blog post, we’ll delve deeper into why having a rehearsal dinner is such a good idea.
Why Have A Rehearsal Dinner?
- A relaxed evening with your loved ones
A rehearsal dinner is a great way to bring your closest family and friends together for a relaxed, intimate evening. It’s a chance to catch up, tell stories, and just enjoy each other’s company before the big day.
It’s also a perfect opportunity for your family and friends to meet and get to know each other before the wedding ceremony. By the time your wedding day arrives, everyone will be more relaxed and comfortable with each other.
- The perfect time to say thank you
Your wedding is not just your day, it’s also a celebration for your family and friends who have been there for you every step of the way.
A rehearsal dinner is the perfect time to show your gratitude and appreciation to the people who have supported you throughout your relationship. You can give out heartfelt speeches or thank you notes and show your loved ones how much you appreciate them.
- Rehearsal dinner themes
One of the best things about having a rehearsal dinner is the flexibility it offers for different themes. Whether you want a backyard BBQ, a formal dinner, or a themed party, the options are endless.
You can choose to keep it casual or go all out and plan an elaborate evening of entertainment with live music and dancing. Whatever fits your style and budget, make it a night to remember.
- A chance to iron out the details
A rehearsal dinner is called a rehearsal for a reason. It’s a chance to physically go over the details of the ceremony and reception. This means finalizing the seating arrangements, discussing the timeline of events, and reviewing the roles of everyone involved.
By doing this, you’ll ensure that everyone is on the same page, and that there are no last-minute hiccups or misunderstandings.
- A meaningful and memorable event
Overall, a rehearsal dinner is a meaningful and memorable event that is well worth the time and effort. It’s a chance to share your excitement for the upcoming day with your closest family and friends.
It’s also the perfect opportunity to relax, unwind, and soak in the joy and love of the occasion.
