Most of our friends choose warmer parts of Europe as a place to rest and charge batteries for the next months. I and my husband prefer beautiful Scotland – the place where we can really feel free, where we can experience wild, the power of nature and breathtaking landscapes.

Last year, during our travel to the north of Scotland (the furthest part of the north, including John o’Groats), we went twice to the Isle of Skye. I wanted to climb Old Man of Storr – the most characteristic place on this beautiful island, find dinosaurs footprints (yes, we did it) and see Neist Point. But we made everything too fast, we weren’t able to enjoy this place in full. So that is the reason we both decided to spend more days in this stunning place.

DAY 1 ISLE OF SKYE ELOPEMENT PHOTOGRAPHER – Isle of Skye

We started our journey very early (hmm we always do it). After picking up our friend Slawek we travelled to the Isle of Skye through Loch Earn, Glencoe. Then we made longer break next to Eilean Donan Castle and stopped at Wigwam Portree Holidays.

DAY 2 ISLE OF SKYE ELOPEMENT PHOTOGRAPHER – Isle of Skye

It was a crazy day as storm Ali hit Scotland. We explored the east part of the Isle of Skye that day: Kilt Rock, Oban, Fairy Glen (I’m in love with this place – it’s so beautiful and I’ve never seen such amazing shades of green colour) and Neist Point.

DAY 3 ISLE OF SKYE ELOPEMENT PHOTOGRAPHER – Isle of Skye

The main point of that day was Fairy Pools – a beautiful rock pools of turquoise colour, crystal water fed by waterfalls from the Cuillin Mountains. And yes, I was standing there wondering where all these fairies have gone, where are they hiding now? This place is really magic.

DAY 4 ISLE OF SKYE ELOPEMENT PHOTOGRAPHER – Isle of Skye

We explored the south part of Isle of Skye that day. We finished it watching the sunset at Talisker Bay Beach.

DAY 5 ISLE OF SKYE ELOPEMENT PHOTOGRAPHER – Isle of Skye

The last day on this beautiful, wild isle. And I know that not the last one. I want to see again Old Man of Storr and the Quiraing is still on my bucket list.

On the way back home we visited Glenfinnan and Kilchurn Castle.
