A spontaneous trip to the Isle of Skye. I was missing this place so much and to be honest, I just had to visit it. I have always associated this place with majestic mountains, fairies, and peace. This time I visited the Isle of Skye without haste, I enjoyed it with all my senses.

ISLE OF SKYE PHOTOGRAPHER – THE QUIRAING, ISLE OF SKYE
I’ve been five or six times to the Isle of Skye, but I’ve never seen The Quiraing up close. And this is where I planned my photo session with Emma.
This place amazed me! The way this place is shaped is indescribable. The colours of the green moss mixed with the purple flowers of heather and the grey tint of the rock. You have to see it with your own eyes. During my five-day stay, I was there three times. The first time Te Quiraing welcomed us covered with clouds and a gentle drizzle, which after an hour turned into heavy rain. The second time I was there in the morning for a session with Emma. I visited The Quiraing for the last time on Tuesday night. I’m not surprised that many couples choose The Quiraing as one of the places for their elopement on the Isle of Skye.Saturday on the Quiraing, Isle of Skye
Tuesday on the Quiraing, Isle of Skye
What do you think about rainy elopement on the Quiraing, Isle of Skye? Aren’t that sky and these mountains look dramatic and mysterious?
Tips: car park fees – £3/3 hours, £5/6 hours (prices in August 2020).
You might park as well on the car park near the road A855. This one is for free but to be honest I didn’t have a chance to check the path. We parked in the main car park.
ISLE OF SKYE PHOTOGRAPHER – CORAL BEACH, ISLE OF SKYE
Two years ago we visited the Isle of Skye with a friend of ours. Coral Beach was on the list of places I wanted to see back then. I don’t know how it happened but then we got to a completely different, also lovely beach. This time I managed to get to Coral Beach. I did not realize that it is so crowded and that it is very difficult to park there, especially around noon. Also, when going there, remember that either you will be lucky and you will easily find a parking space there. Or, go back to the parking lot next to Dunvegan castle and walk to the beach from there. Remember to take some snacks and drinking water with you. Also, be careful on the road, it is very narrow and winding.
The beach itself made a huge impression on me. You can see white sand from afar … and it turns out that they are corals. Tiny pieces mixed with shells. We spent several hours there.
ISLE OF SKYE PHOTOGRAPHER – THE NEIST POINT, ISLE OF SKYE
The Neist Point – one of the most famous Scottish lighthouses. And the westernmost point of the Isle of Skye. This time we didn’t go all the way down to the lighthouse. We turned from PI onto the path on the right and just kept walking. Not knowing what to expect. Sometimes it’s worth taking off the busiest trail. Rocky cliffs, the sun beautifully breaking through the clouds, the island of Harris and Lewis in the distance. And peace. From time to time sheep crossed our path.
ISLE OF SKYE PHOTOGRAPHER – RUBHA HUNISH, ISLE OF SKYE
This trip was completely different from the ones we have done so far. No planning. I only had three points that I wanted to see, and one of them was this place. Rubha Hunish and Lookout Bothy. The cliffs in this place make an amazing impression. Yes, I felt tiny. And as in the previous places, we found ourselves a cosy spot near the edge. We sat on one of the warm stones and stared at the horizon, we admired sea birds, the shadows of clouds dancing on the water.
ISLE OF SKYE PHOTOGRAPHER – GLEN BRITTLE FOREST, ISLE OF SKYE
It was supposed to be the day we were going to spend reaching the mountain peak … We went to the forest. Yes, spontaneously. I found this place in the morning when we suddenly changed our plans. Navigation took us along a new, picturesque road. Here you will find details of the route – 16 km surrounded by forest and mountains. There are Fairy Pools nearby, so if you still have the strength and willingness, you can go there.
ISLE OF SKYE PHOTOGRAPHER – PORTREE, ISLE OF SKYE
We ended the day in Portree eating fish & chips at “The Chippy Portree”. You can’t even imagine how hungry I was … I ate everything. Although the fish usually disappears first, and if I still have space, I will eat some chips.
