Cambo Estate is one of the most romantic and luxurious wedding venues in Fife, situated around 15 minutes from St Andrews and just over 1 hour from the airport in Edinburgh. This romantic wedding style shoot in Fife was organised by Photography Farm at the end of May.
I left home about an hour early — Cambo Estate is about half an hour away from me, but I’ve never been there before. And I’ve never driven such a potholed and narrow road (lol). It’s good that nothing was going in the opposite direction! Most of the way I sat with my nose almost glued to the front window. My eyes ached from my intense gaze at the roadside for obstacles.
I drove to the main road and finally turned onto a normal-looking road. On the right, I noticed a large gate and the words “Cambo Estate”. I turned right onto the road leading to one of the most beautiful small wedding venues in Fife.
I parked in the wrong parking lot. I stepped back to the car, wanting to drive to the parking lot near Cambo Estate this time. And well, I took the wrong path. Lol. I made my way back to the previous parking lot, catching the back of the car on a small stump lying on the side of the path. I took my bag, some food, and a water bottle and headed to the meeting point with Lisa and the rest of the photographers.
Most of the people were already there. I met a girl with whom I attended a bohemian-styled elopement organised by Ella Mai at the end of April. Gary and Chris were there too. How nice it was to see familiar faces again!
A Romantic Cambo Estate Photoshoot
What can I say about the place itself? The Cambo Estate looks lovely from the outside, but it’s the interiors that keep you from leaving the building. Vintage, romantic Victorian-style reigns in every room. I love such places! With each step, and another, and another, you wonder how many people have passed this way. What stories are behind the walls? Moreover, how many romantic or unhappy love stories have happened here?
Entering the room, I imagine people sitting on velour sofas and armchairs, having conversations about everyday life and adventures. Or sitting around a table set with golden vintage cutlery.
Cambo Estate is such a magical place for a romantic, intimate wedding!
