Emily and David choose Neidpath Castle as a location for their romantic elopement ceremony in the Scottish castle at the end of September. Both of them were so thrilled to travel here from the USA. In the place where both of them have Scottish heritage. It was Emily’s dream to get married in one of the Scottish castles. She just didn’t realize that it might get true. It was like a fairy tale for her. Enchanted and wild. Until the end of September, when they got the key to Neidpath Castle. Yes, you read that right. The key to the castle. The whole castle for them. For four nights, they could feel like the main heroes of a romantic movie.
Emily and David were getting ready together for the elopement ceremony in the main chamber of Neidpath Castle. A hand-painted wedding dress hung on the railing of an antique sofa. There was silence inside the castle. From time to time it is interrupted by our conversations and laughter. There was a tiny wedding cake downstairs, specially made by the Peebles bakery. It looked so cute. And the two metal goblets that Emily and David brought with them from their home and used to drink champagne. And then we went on a tour of the castle, both inside and out. In the meantime, we took a short break for snacks.
