Wedding for Two in Scotland in Winter – Chantelle & Jerome
Wedding for two in Scotland in winter in the castle? Yes, you can have it! Chantelle and Jerome love visiting castles, exploring new places and the great outdoors. They wanted their elopement day to be really relaxed and romantic and they dreamed about a place which can capture all of that.
The planning process of your wedding for two in Scotland in winter: what was the most stressful and which part did you enjoy the most?
Most stressful was probably telling our friends and family that we are doing an elopement just the two of us. We decided on this as my family lives in South Africa and New Zealand and Jerome’s in France, we looked at options for such a long time and then decided we wouldn’t want to disappoint anyone who will be unable to attend so decided an elopement is the best option for us.
We actually just enjoyed most of the planning as we are so relaxed about it and a weight is lifted off our shoulders not to worry about any guests etc.
Why did you choose Auchen Castle?
We love castles so we were looking for a castle that does elopements in Scotland. When I found Auchen Castle we just decided to go ahead with it, as they ticked all the boxes we were looking for.
Winter wedding dress
Chantelle was looking for a dress that can be worn in winter so was looking for something with sleeves that is slightly different, she wanted a relaxed boho vibe dress and when she saw the dress from Rosa Clara she instantly fell in love. It’s an all-lace gown, with 3/4 sleeves and a lace flounce. The back is cut low with a very sheer, nude tulle covering the centre with buttons running down the back. Chantelle was wearing a faux fur cape to keep her warm later when we went into the mountains.
