A Scotland Castle Wedding Full Of Warmth & Romance
As I close my eyes, I’m transported to the interior filled with the warmth of the sun’s rays, beautiful bouquets on the windowsills and a cake decorated with two puffins. One of them was wearing a tiny veil. I heard happy female voices from the upstairs chamber. I opened the door and saw Anna sitting in a chair by the window. A wonderful smile never left her face. Kate was doing her makeup.
There was excitement and happiness in the air during this romantic wedding in the castle near Edinburgh. There are many moments that made this day special and one of a kind! Like the moment Anna put on her shiny silver shoes (she couldn’t imagine herself wearing any other shoes). When Robert’s niece sat down on the step and watched her with curiosity … that specific joy when you see something really beautiful. Anna and Robert’s fathers getting quite drunk at the ceremony!
… Oh, a sweet, chocolate milkshake topped with whipped cream. Am I skipping ahead to the very end? Haha, sorry, but this chocolate milkshake has been in my head from the very beginning of this writing. Back to the wedding highlights! …
The confetti that one of the guests stuck behind Robert’s collar. The beautiful light of the setting sun during our photography session on the river bank. A bouquet of dried flowers tossed towards a group of girls, and laughter and squeals when one of the girls caught it. (It was only after processing the photos that I saw the petals of the bouquet scattering in all directions when I grabbed it in my hand).
Oh, and the ceilidh dance in the hall downstairs. This is one of my favourite parts of the wedding day! Laughter, quick footwork, and the floor dancing with the guests with each of their steps. Anna & Robert’s incredibly romantic castle wedding venue in Scotland was one I’ll never forget.
