Laid-back Scottish elopement in the Lodge on Loch Goil – Alexandra & Oliver

Beginning of October. The day when Alex and Oli had their laid-back Scottish elopement in the Lodge on Loch Goil. They were greeted by the sun and the blue sky interspersed with white and gray clouds.

On the shores of one of Scotland’s deepest lakes, Loch Goil stands a pale cream-colored house decorated with dark maroon wooden details. The Lodge on Loch Goil. A coniferous tree grows on the shores of the lake, on which a small wooden house is built. Stairs lead to it. There is one small, cramped room where Alexandra and Oliver exchanged rings and took an oath. On the edges of the canopy there are lamps that look magical. Especially in the evening, when the sky takes a dark, navy blue color and their glow illuminates the wooden tree house.

Alex and Oli were getting ready in two separate rooms. Alexandra in a room with a beautiful bathroom with a vintage scale and a bathtub. Her vintage dress was hanging on an old wooden wardrobe in the bathroom. Oliver in the next room, decorated with dark wallpaper with a floral pattern.

They met for the first time in a wedding outfit in the room downstairs, by the stairs and then went out together to the little treehouse where the ceremony was held.

Alexandra and Oliver dreamed of an element that would be laid back, stress-free and without a rigid time frame. There was the first dance under a tree on the shores of Loch Goil. And champagne, drunk straight from the bottle, without glasses. There was also a tiny, simple cake sprinkled with powdered sugar and decorated with fresh strawberries. After the time we spent outside for the photoshoot, Alexandra and Oliver sat at the counter in the bar and savoring their new deal in life. We talked about everything. About horror movies, travels, photographer.
