Killiecrankie is a small village in the north of Pitlochry, in Perthshire. It is known from the Jacobite battle in the 17th century.
It is a great place to enjoy a wide variety of birdlife or you might try to spot the native red squirrels, or if you are really lucky the reclusive otters which live around the river. And it’s not so far from Perth, Scotland.
Pawel and I love to come back here to admire the Scottish autumn. I was too early this year (the end of September), but I wanted to show this beautiful place to my parents who arrived to visit Scotland for the first time.
If you love being outdoors and walking this is the best place for you.
