Romantic Edinburgh Engagement Session - Rachel & Kieran

Last day of February. Edinburgh. A beautiful, moody day for a romantic engagement session in this beautiful Scottish city.

We met Rachel and Kieran in a cosy basement, The Butlers Basement, about 10 minutes from Dean Village. Decorated with taste, with beautiful vintage furniture and walls painted in soft pastel colours. Songs were played on the turntable in the background, though Kieran reached for it as soon as he saw the guitar standing in the corner. I asked if he could play it. He said yes. Even before the lockdown, he played very often with his band. The music from the gramophone was overshadowed by the melody played on the guitar.

Then we took a short walk to Dean Village. Kieran and Rachel were there for the first time. Characteristic old tenement houses built of red brick, houses painted warm yellow and the Leith River flowing by make a nice impression on them.
