Tell me more about details: Florals & Decor – what inspired you, the theme, colours:

The colours are muted soft peaches, blush, and a touch of blue. We wanted the florals to feel airy and romantic. We also wanted a touch of historic or classical vibes, so the flowers will be placed in stone pots, and there are details like bronze candle holders, bronze framed mirrors, and chandeliers hanging from the pergola at Villa Cipressi. The cake is a 3-layer chantilly cake with some floral details.

The planning process of your wedding/elopement: what was the most stressful and which part did you enjoy the most:

The most stressful part was choosing a venue because there were so many wonderful options. It took us a long time to decide, so we ended up doing the best of both worlds and having our ceremony and reception at two different venues that we both really loved. The part that we enjoyed the most was choosing the music and food. We love music and were so excited to choose a live jazz band.

Why did you choose the venue for your wedding/location for your elopement?

We wanted a breathtaking ceremony in a place with architecture that evokes history and romance, as well as beautiful views of nature. Villa del Balbianello was the perfect place; we love the archways draped in greenery and how it overlooks the lake with the mountains in the distance. For the reception, we wanted a venue that felt intimate and romantic, and Villa Cipressi was the perfect place. We especially love the pergola and how the outdoor terraces overlook the lake and mountains.

Why did you choose your wedding photographer?

We wanted a photographer who could capture photos with intimacy and authenticity, and who could give us photos that tell the story of how our wedding and celebration unfolded. We love how you can capture the emotion of a moment, as well as the beauty and romance of the location. We hope to look back on the photos and relive the significance of each moment: the romance of the venue, the great love of our friends and families, and all the unrelenting joy, anticipation and intimacy of the day.
